about me
I’m a researcher/artist/organiser of things ✸
My PhD at the University of Sheffield is funded by ESRC and uses quantitative methods to investigate the mechanisms reproducing inequalities in arts labour. My work experience includes campaigning and fundraising, and I’ve worked at Sound and Music, Peace Pledge Union and Campaign Against Arms Trade. I helped set up the Article 11 Trust and am involved in running it as a Trustee.
In my music project Eye Measure I make weird and dark computer music using live coding and algorithmic composition. I’ve performed at places like Supernormal Festival, Cafe OTO, Fylkingen and Corsica Studios. I’ve also curated and produced music events including for No Bounds Festival and Algorave, and I co-run the UKRI-funded community arts and technology project Pattern Club Sheffield, where we organise workshops and performances exploring algorithmic patterns.
